"These are the daily activities of Zi Han." Mother Zhang Qiufeng told reporters. In the summer of 2009, Zhang Qiufeng was waiting for labor in her hometown. At that time, the medical conditions in villages and towns were limited, and she gave birth at the health center. Because of the lack of oxygen in the production process and neonatal jaundice, Zi Han was in the incubator for several days after his birth. Later, jaundice became more and more serious. When Zi Han was 9 months old, he was officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The best time to treat cerebral palsy is 6 months. When Zi Han was diagnosed, he had already missed the best treatment stage.
Hundreds of dollars a day for treatment has become a problem.
After Zi Han was diagnosed, Zhang Qiufeng took Zi Han to many hospitals, but the results were not satisfactory. "The doctor said that this is pathological congenital cerebral palsy, and the motor function of brain cells is impaired, but the intelligence is not affected." The doctor also told her bluntly at that time, don’t spend any more money on the examination, and take the money for the examination to do rehabilitation.
For Zhang Qiufeng, the most important thing for treatment is the cost. Children with cerebral palsy have to receive rehabilitation training every day. Ten years ago, the cost of treatment in Zi Han was several hundred dollars a day. For an ordinary family, this is undoubtedly a huge expense.
"At that time, even if we didn’t eat or drink, we couldn’t afford this huge treatment cost, so the child’s rehabilitation treatment would be stopped." Zhang Qiufeng recalled that because she could not afford the treatment, she sometimes gave her children rehabilitation training at home. However, due to Zi Han’s serious illness, what he can do is limited, so the biggest trouble every day is to find a way to raise money and borrow it everywhere. When you are lucky, you will get the support of some social caring public welfare people.

Later, in order to take better care of Zi Han, Zhang Qiufeng resigned from her job, and went from home to school and then to the rehabilitation center at 3: 01 every day for 10 years.
"Zi Han gets up at 6:00 every day, and we leave at 6:30. Dad carries him downstairs, and then we send him to school. Because eating out is more expensive, we bring our own meals every day. Dad couldn’t pick us up at noon, so we took a taxi to the institution to do rehabilitation and then took a taxi back. " Zhang Qiufeng said.
Zi Han grew up in a special school, and most of the students in the school need to accompany him. "If he attends class in the classroom, I will wait outside the classroom." In the process of rehabilitation training, Zi Han cried for several hours at the beginning because of abnormal muscle tone. "Many children learn to dance and cry when they stretch. The pain of stretching is more serious than that of children who learn to dance." However, Zhang Qiufeng didn’t relax his demands on Zi Han because of his special nature, and sometimes he deliberately put him under some pressure.

When Zi Han was 7 years old, he transferred to Shenzhen Yuanping Special School for a more systematic study. Schools are full of special children, so school teachers will conduct separate teaching and research for these children. They will explore some children’s specialties or hobbies, and then make different teaching plans according to different children. "In the eyes of the teacher, Zi Han and another girl in their class are relatively good, so the school teacher will teach them some knowledge of cultural classes alone." Zhang Qiufeng said.

Facing the math problems in the exercise book, Zi Han thought about it and wrote the math formulas one by one to solve them. In addition, the reporter saw that Zi Han’s bookcases were full of books. Zhang Qiufeng proudly told reporters that Zi Han likes reading books, and he can finish reading a book in two hours. Zi Han’s mother said that in the past, the house was in disrepair because of its long history, and the daily life of the family was not very convenient. Especially in the bathroom, because of the height of the steps and the width of the doorframe, Zi Han’s wheelchair can’t get in. There is no desk in Zi Han’s room, so he can only put a board on the bed and crouch on the ground to study. Zhang Qiufeng got to know a social worker organization through the Luohu District Family Care Association for Cerebral Palsy. With the help of the social worker organization, a public welfare team contacted Zhang Qiufeng and made barrier-free renovation in seven days, creating a brand-new convenient living space for Zi Han.
Now, on the right hand side of the house, you can see a sofa specially placed for Zi Han to assist Zi Han to go out and enter the door. Secondly, a desk bench has been installed in Zi Han’s room to facilitate Zi Han’s study. The most important thing is the bathroom, which has removed all the steps at the original entrance and installed handrails and toilets for the disabled. After the renovation, Zi Han can carry on her daily life by holding the handrail by herself, and she is also much happier.
In Zhang Qiufeng’s view, it is the greatest wish of their family that children can live simply and happily.
