Chen Xingcan, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, concluded that the World Forum of Great River Civilizations is an important link to promote the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations. After a day of exchanges, scholars from all over the world conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as the study of ancient civilizations from a global perspective, the dialogue between Chinese civilization and world civilization, and promoted the comparative study of civilizations in major river basins around the world.
The forum is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, People’s Daily, State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the People’s Government of Henan Province. The four sub-forums are the diversity and exchange of world river civilizations, the Chinese civilization and the Yellow River culture inheritance and promotion forum, the "in the world"-the dialogue forum between Chinese civilization and world civilization, and the ecological protection and high-quality development forum in the Yellow River basin.
