What is a mobile TD network?
Mobile TD is a 3G mobile phone network standard, which is independently developed by China. At present, China Mobile 3G has adopted this network standard.
TD, whose full name is TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access), is the first complete mobile communication technical standard in China’s telecommunications industry in the past century, and it is also one of the four 3G standards in the world, which are tied with WCDMA in Europe, CDMA2000 in the United States and WiMAX later joined. TD— SCDMA is a 3G standard independently formulated by Chinese mainland. TD, as a technology independently developed by China, has received strong support from the state. However, it started later than WCDMA and CDMA2000 networks, so it is technically deficient.
However, with the development of mobile TD network, its speed is not much different from WCDMA adopted by China Unicom 3G and CDMA2000 adopted by China Telecom. Because of this, mobile TD mobile phones are becoming more and more popular. For example, the red rice mobile phone launched by Xiaomi recently, BBK Vivo X3 and Meizu MX2 TD are all mobile TD mobile phones.
